Change Leadership in Riyadh - Lessons Learnt
|
This week I am in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, facilitating a series of 2-day workshops. The topic? Change Management for the senior leadership teams of a large-scale organisation - in total about 100 people.
Why did the organisation choose change management as a topic? Despite the current legacy of the country, the organisation can only be successful in the long run, when they focus on the future! And the future will always bring a lot of new opportunities. Are you ready? |
My attitude as a facilitator is circling around what can I learn? This creates a joint learning experience which is highly engaging and satisfactory for the participants. We completed cohort 1 - what are the key lessons learnt for me?
- When you rest on past success you will become complacent; this will lead to failure. Hence, in order to achieve success, we need to turn our focus on the future. What is your Leitbild? What is your guiding imagination of the future state?
- Change management is the people side of doing business and a structured way to lead the people into that future; this means, as senior leaders we need to provide the space, resources and direction to drive successful transformations.
- Participants want to learn in an interactive way and the concepts and theories become secondary; the application in real work scenarios is the core of the learning journey.
I am super excited to continue with the next few cohorts, share my expertise & experience, and continue to learn from the participants!
When are you ready to jump on your leadership learning journey?
